Kinetico Advanced Water Systems was started by Gene Smelik, Sr. in January of 1986. In the mide 70's, Gene had purchased a Kinetico system for his farmhouse in teh Cleveland, Ohio area that is still working and in use today - roughtly 30 years later! And so Gene recognized the opportunity for a quality water system for Carteret County citizens - one that uses less salt, very low maintenance, completely automatic, as well as non-replaceable. Hence: Kinetico! Outstanding service has always been the #1 priority with Advanced Water Systems and so in 1990, Gene's youngest son, Jesse, started working with his Dad installing Kinetico equipment and fixing other brands of softeners while growing a steady customer base. In 1995, Gene's second youngest son, Patrick, started in the sales management position and has worked with the premium builders of eastern North Carolina, increasing the number of Kinetico customers with the help of his vast knowledge of water treatment. And from there, the "family" has grown to a number of 15 for Advanced Water Systems, as well as 7 other employees at the other offices, including Gene's oldest son, Gene Jr. Advanced Water Systems' focus has been adn will continue to be the absolute best product as well as the best possible service.
