"We contacted this company (referred to us by our home builder) because we suspected we had hard water from our well. Gene (vice president) came out within two days for a free water evaluation. We did indeed have hard water, and Gene recommended the Kinetico water system. The system was installed about 3 days later. This is a great system...It is non-electric with no timers or computers to set or reset when the power goes out. The dual tank setup provides non-stop conditioned water, even when the system needs to regenerate itself. Our water is great now. Advanced Water Systems seems to be a family run company, and they are super nice people. They followed up 3 weeks after installation and offered to come out for a visit to recheck the water and see if we had any questions. I'm confident if we have any problems, they will be very responsive."

"We have a community well water supply to our Durham county neighborhood. Unlike neighbors who do not have a water softener, our toilet bowls do not discolor, our shower water is soft, and we use less soap for all our washing needs.

The Kinetico water softening system was installed in our home in 1991. The system requires no electricity, works automatically, and it cycles according to water usage. Unlike electric systems that work on programmed timers, our system's function depends solely on the amount of water we use. Aside from monitoring the level of salt, as in any water softening system, the Kinetico requires no maintenance.

In eighteen years of operation our Kinetico has had one tune-up call and required the replacement of one small, plastic gear. When needed, Mr. Smelik and his staff have provided responsive, competent, and generous advice. Generous, because one time Mr. Smelik came to investigate the cause of reddish water. Identifying the community well as the source of the problem, Mr. Smelik declined any payment even though he had spent at least one hour on site. A house call, analysis and no charge are something customers only dream about today. Mr. Smelik's honesty is exceeded only by his technical competence.

"THANK YOU!!! We absolutely love our water system! It has made my life easier every day. Right after installation I cleaned out the tanks on all of our toilets. The toilet bowls that I use to have to scrub every day and twice if company was coming) have stayed sparkling clean. No more red rust rings! I ran an empty load in my washer with bleach, and I no longer have to wash my washer after every load! No pink tint to my whites either!! We used to see pinkish foam when we boiled spaghetti or potatoes. No more!! Danny's hair is still red, but the water in our baths and showers has been clear, not cloudy.
